Details

ClickHouse is an open-source column-oriented database system focused on being the fastest OLAP database. The ClickPipes Platform is responsible for onboarding and integrating data from diverse sources into ClickHouse at petabyte scale and high velocity. This role is part of the ClickPipes team and involves building and maintaining data ingestion integrations and pipelines, operating with significant autonomy, and solving challenging distributed systems problems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance integrations with various data sources including streaming platforms, databases, data lakes, and object stores.
  • Continuously improve systems based on operational metrics, customer feedback, and evolving business requirements.
  • Drive technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions affecting platform scalability and resilience.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents to ensure system reliability.

Requirements / About you

  • 5+ years of relevant software development industry experience building data-intensive software solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Golang and experience with its ecosystem. Experience with Java is a plus.
  • Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Ability to design and build robust ETL data pipelines that handle large volumes of data reliably and efficiently.
  • Understanding of data replication methodologies such as Change Data Capture (CDC).
  • Good knowledge of cloud-native architecture and practical experience with at least one major cloud service provider (CSP).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within and across engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and solid production debugging experience.

Compensation

  • Typical starting salary range in the United States: $133,450 - $197,200 USD.
  • Typical starting salary range in US Premium Markets (e.g., Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, New York City Metro): $157,000 - $232,000 USD.

These ranges reflect the company's good-faith estimate of minimum and maximum pay at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on education, experience, location, and other factors.
