About the Team
The ClickPipes Platform plays a critical role in driving growth and ensuring the success of clients by seamlessly onboarding and integrating data from diverse data sources into ClickHouse. The team works at petabyte scale and in high-velocity environments and focuses on real-time data ingestion, change data capture (CDC), distributed systems, and cloud services. Recent work is highlighted in their blog (e.g., Flexible Scaling and Monitoring in ClickPipes, MySQL CDC Connector for ClickPipes, The Evolution of ClickPipes).
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance integrations with various data sources including streaming platforms, databases, data lakes, and object stores.
- Continuously improve systems based on operational metrics, customer feedback, and evolving business requirements.
- Drive technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions impacting platform scalability and resilience.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and respond to production incidents.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant software development industry experience building data-intensive software solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Golang and experience with its ecosystem. (Experience with Java is a plus.)
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Ability to design and build robust ETL data pipelines that handle large volumes of data reliably and efficiently.
- Understanding of data replication methodologies like CDC.
- Good knowledge of cloud-native architecture and practical experience with at least one major cloud service provider.
- Strong production debugging skills and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within and across engineering teams.
Compensation
The typical starting salary for this role in the United States is $133,450 - $197,200 USD. For certain US premium markets (Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, and the New York City Metro Area), a premium market range may apply: $157,000 - $232,000 USD. Actual compensation depends on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, and other considerations.
