Details

At Eneco you will help build the digital foundation for our B2C domain to support climate-neutral ambitions. You will work in cross-functional product teams on the core ecosystem that powers B2C areas such as product configuration, contract management, billing, fulfilment, pricing and metering. The team delivers scalable backend solutions, system integrations and event-driven services that enable reliable customer experiences and trading operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services and integrations in .NET/C#.
  • Design clean, modular architectures and ensure system reliability, scalability and security.
  • Build cloud-ready services and work with CI/CD pipelines for fast and secure delivery.
  • Integrate systems via APIs, microservices and event-driven patterns (e.g. Kafka, Azure Service Bus / Eventhub, gRPC).
  • Optimize performance and implement monitoring/observability solutions for high availability, including SLIs/SLOs.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, testers and product managers to deliver end-to-end digital solutions.
  • Support and enhance the B2C ecosystem across product configuration, billing, fulfilment and metering.
  • Contribute to a wider C# Community of Practice and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Solid experience with .NET/C# and backend development.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and cloud-native development (Azure preferred).
  • Experience with CI/CD, containerization and microservices.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and technologies such as Kafka, Azure Service Bus and Azure Eventhub.
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL data stores and designing performant data flows.
  • Experience or knowledge of gRPC for service communication.
  • Based in the Netherlands and fluent in English.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to work across disciplines.

Bonus

  • Experience with observability, SLIs and SLOs.
  • Knowledge of B2C operations and energy sector experience.

Where you’ll work

You will join the B2C team within Eneco's Digital & Tech organisation, collaborating with other product teams to support the B2C tech stack and long-term sustainability goals. The role is based in Rotterdam with hybrid working (partial office / partial home).
