Details

At Eneco you will contribute to the One Planet strategy by building and maintaining backend systems that support B2C energy services. You will work in the VPP tech teams within the short-term trading and operational domain, helping to deliver continuous energy delivery and optimized trading operations. You will be part of a cross-functional product team and work with a modern stack to design and build scalable, reliable, and secure backend solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services and integrations using .NET/C#.
  • Design clean, modular architectures and ensure system reliability, scalability and security.
  • Build cloud-ready services and work with CI/CD pipelines for fast and secure delivery.
  • Integrate diverse systems via APIs and microservices and ensure smooth data flows across the value chain.
  • Optimize performance and implement monitoring solutions to meet high availability requirements.
  • Work with containerization and orchestration (for example Kubernetes) for deployment and operations.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, testers and product managers to deliver seamless digital solutions.
  • Support and enhance the B2C ecosystem and contribute to the wider C# Community of Practice.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Solid experience with .NET/C# and backend development.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and cloud-native development (Azure preferred).
  • Experience with CI/CD, containerization, microservices and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience using technologies such as SQL/NoSQL, gRPC, Kafka, Azure Service Bus and Azure Eventhub.
  • Ability to write performant, maintainable, scalable, secure and highly available microservices using best-practice design patterns.
  • Based in the Netherlands and fluent in English.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to work across disciplines.

Bonus

  • Experience with observability, SLIs and SLOs.
  • Knowledge of B2C operations.
  • Experience within the energy sector.

  • Gross annual salary between €85,000 and €120,000 (including FlexBudget and 8% holiday allowance; depending on role a bonus or collective profit sharing).
