Role overview
The Chief Business Officer organization drives the company’s growth and expansion efforts worldwide, commercializing new and existing businesses, recruiting and developing Airbnb’s global supply of high-quality stays, Experiences, and services, and executing Airbnb’s global in-market strategy. The North America team is hiring a Senior Community Growth Manager to support growth and expansion of the Co-host marketplace. Co-hosting allows individuals/entrepreneurs to manage listings on behalf of Hosts and includes responding to guests, preparing listings for stays, supporting guest needs, and general management of hosting activities.
This role is part of an inaugural team within the Business organization and includes hybrid program operations and scaled relationship management responsibilities. The role carries revenue and business performance goals and requires designing playbooks, adapting central frameworks to local market dynamics, and partnering with central commercial teams, community teams, sales operations and other cross-functional partners to pilot and scale initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support recruitment and onboarding education for new Co-hosts
- Analyze regional and territory business trends and outcomes to identify and scale growth opportunities
- Design, pilot, and test new levers that support Co-host growth at scale
- Develop and maintain a community forum to increase reach and feedback loops for program, product, and community support
- Execute workshops, events, webinars, partnerships and other channels to build an integrated strategy
- Adapt central programs to support regional objectives
- Design and operationalize email and scaled communication campaigns to support lifecycle engagement and education
- Serve as primary point of contact for Co-hosts; advise and support them as they build property management businesses
- Build sentiment and feedback channels to package insights for product and central programs
- Identify and pilot opportunities to increase overall success of Co-hosts
- Own revenue and host growth goals; develop new programs and initiatives, implement plans, and evaluate efficacy to inform business initiatives
- Lead through inspiration, influence, and Airbnb’s core value of belonging
- Support online and offline community events (webinars, meetups, workshops)
Requirements / Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in Sales, Business Operations, or Business Development in Tech, Real Estate/Property Management, or Travel
- Strategic thinker with proven ability to drive growth and own growth OKRs while exceeding goals
- Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and goal driven
- Strong project management skills and demonstrated experience leading strategic programs and processes
- Ability to forecast, model, and optimize growth tactics based on performance
- Sales or external relationship management experience across tech and consumer goods
- Skilled at influencing through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building
- Ability to assess problems/opportunities quickly and make decisions based on facts, creative problem solving, and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with strong business acumen
- Strong empathy for the community and passion for revenue and growth
- Deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance and handle uncertainty and ambiguity
- Expert with Excel (pivot tables, large data set analyses, formulas), comfortable with analytical tools such as SQL, and methodologies like capacity planning, forecasting, and general modeling
- Comfortable with Google Docs, Salesforce CRM, and other technology solutions for driving supply acquisition, territory management and retention
- Deep knowledge and experience using collaborative project management tools and processes (e.g., Asana, Airtable)
Benefits / Compensation
- Mexico pay range (base, monthly): $100,000 — $125,000 MXN
- Role may be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits
- Base pay dependent on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands
Location
- The successful applicant will need to be based in Mexico to conduct their work. Recruiter will inform eligible states if employed by another Airbnb entity.
