Joining Collibra’s Data Quality Sales Engineering team
We're looking for a talented Data Quality Expert who will be responsible for driving business focused on Collibra’s Data Quality platform supporting opportunities directly with our core Sales Engineers. The primary focus of this role will span North America while also supporting partner & alliance events when applicable. This is a highly collaborative role: you will work with peers and cross‑functional teams as the Collibra Data Quality expert across marketing, customer success, product management, and sales to manage, develop and grow Collibra’s Data Quality initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the field sales engineering team as a subject matter expert for Collibra Data Quality after basic qualification and discovery.
- Lead deep technical dives with prospects and existing customers regarding Collibra Data Quality, understanding prospect and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineers to scope complex custom demos and POCs, ensuring success by tying defined use cases and success criteria back to customer value.
- Validate and confirm qualified opportunities for Collibra Data Quality and assist the team through to customer value.
- Support sales activities, marketing activities, webcasts, and contract negotiations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of data quality experience with a proven track record in Sales Engineering or consulting.
- 3+ years of sales engineering experience.
- Hands‑on experience with programmatic rule development, rule automation, AI, and ML.
- Demonstrated ability to influence across all levels of an organization (technical and non‑technical) to connect data outcomes to business goals.
- Technical proficiency with: SQL, Java, Spark, REST APIs, Active Directory, and data pipelining.
- Experience scoping and delivering demos and proof‑of‑concepts (POCs).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Measures of success
- Month 1: Become familiar with Collibra and institutional processes.
- Month 3: Prove proficiency in the software and begin educating customers on features, roadmap, and customer‑cycle processes.
- Month 6: Become a voice within Collibra for data quality, supporting solution reps in pre‑sales activities, demonstrations, and proof‑of‑value engagements.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $140,000 USD - $175,000 USD per year.
- Eligible for additional commission‑based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including experience, skills, and location.
