We’re shaping the way some of the largest organizations in the world manage data by helping customers connect the right data and insights for all Data Citizens. As a Customer Engineer on Collibra’s Customer Engineering team you will bring Collibra's product and vision to customers and prospects, specifically supporting SAP-related sales motions and Collibra go-to-market activities that target SAP-compatible solutions.
Responsibilities
- Map solutions to value across large and dynamic US customers, bridging both business and technical requirements.
- Participate in discovery and drive qualification of new opportunities and expansion within customers.
- Prepare and conduct product demonstrations, highlighting how Collibra’s Platform supports enterprise customer needs.
- Advise and support customers’ technical stakeholders to accelerate Collibra adoption and value realization; act as primary point of contact for technical and product-related queries.
- Identify, evaluate, recommend, and execute value-based workshops and proofs of concept (PoCs).
- Prepare and provide input for functional and technical sections of RFPs/RFQs.
- Support sales and marketing activities, webcasts, field enablement, and asset creation.
- Provide advice and feedback to product management and engineering to enhance Collibra offerings.
Requirements
- 5+ years in a Sales, Customer Engineering, or Sales Consulting role.
- Broad SAP portfolio knowledge with strong functional and technical understanding of core SAP products the solution integrates with, most commonly SAP S/4HANA. Knowledge of relevant modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD) is important.
- Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and familiarity with SAP Solution Extensions (SOLEX).
- Expertise in integration: ability to clearly explain technical integration between 3rd-party products and SAP, including data flows and process synchronization.
- Experience in enterprise "land and expand" sales motions and presales engineering.
- Broad knowledge of data governance, data catalog, data quality, and data privacy platforms.
- Experience in data management disciplines (cataloging, integration, data quality, enterprise architecture); experience setting up or participating in governance boards is a plus.
- Experience with leading PaaS providers, data lakes, databases, and integration platforms; experience in the data space is required.
- Experience in regulatory compliance and/or financial/IT audit is a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.

Measures of success
- Within 1 month: become familiar with Collibra and institutional processes.
- Within 2 months: host discovery calls, perform basic demonstrations, and present solution value.
- Within 3 months: demonstrate proficiency in the software and begin educating customers on features, roadmap, and customer lifecycle processes.
- Operational excellence in completing administrative tasks in support of sales activities.
Compensation
- Standard base salary range: $140,000 - $175,000 per year.
- Position eligible for additional commission-based compensation.
- Salary offers are based on experience, skills, and location.
