Are you a skilled IT Engineer looking to take on a challenging role in financial risk management? Do you have a passion for working with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment? As a Senior IT Engineer within the Reporting team, you will play a key role in refining financial risk reporting processes and enhancing credit risk calculations. You will work alongside DevOps engineers and risk analysts, focusing on Azure cloud engineering and data platform development.

Responsibilities

  • Design technical solutions in collaboration with peers
  • Develop, test, and deploy applications and control frameworks
  • Handle large datasets: collect, prepare, clean, and deliver data
  • Build, monitor, and maintain ETL/data pipelines
  • Optimize application performance and improve data delivery processes
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data quality frameworks and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and architects to align on goals and solutions

Working environment

You will be part of the Capital & Control Chain (C&CC) within the Financial Risk Grid in the IT Value cluster. The team (about 10–12 people) works in an agile, hands-on, and pragmatic way. The environment is collaborative, open, and informal with a strong international presence. The team works mainly from home with some time spent in the office and contributes to a larger IT transformation program.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Proficiency with Python and PySpark frameworks and libraries
  • Strong expertise in Spark to optimize performance
  • Solid experience with SQL and ETL frameworks, building resilient, scalable ETL processes
  • Hands-on experience with Azure data tooling (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience in building and maintaining ETL/data pipelines
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing
  • Knowledge of configuration management and cloud implementations on Azure
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Passion for learning and experimenting with new tools and technologies

  • Gross monthly salary range: €5.847 - €8.353 per month (based on a 36-hour work week), including holiday allowance and a flexible benefit budget
