Senior Data Engineer

We are the digital engine of Mortgages! You will be working in the Data Services Platform department, in the Mercurius team. This team works on setting up a fully functioning data ecosystem. Data can be easily shared from one platform, and data users can find everything they need in one place. Outside of ABN AMRO Mortgages, we ensure synergy by sharing all relevant data so our customers and partners experience us as a personal bank in a digital era. As a Data Engineer, you will work with an enthusiastic and driven team to extract even more value from this data.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the right data is available at the right place, at the right time, with the right quality to support business decisions, optimization, and automation.
• Work towards implementing a distributed Data-Mesh architecture based on a new Azure-based technology stack.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with multiple Data Engineers, a Scrum Master, and a Product Owner.
• Realize a Microsoft Azure-driven architecture and build CI/CD pipelines and data pipelines.
• Integrate systems and perform reliable migrations of existing data solutions to new Azure-based solutions.
• Provide on-call support during working hours as part of the team.

Requirements

• Academic or HBO education level.
• Experience: 5+ years.
• Skills in Git, CI/CD pipelines, preferably in Azure DevOps/Azure Pipelines, Python (especially OOP, Pytest), SQL or PySpark (preferably in Databricks).
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in Dutch, both spoken and written.
