NVIDIA is seeking experienced computer architects to design the next generation of AI accelerators and system architecture for improved AI performance and efficiency. This role impacts the future hardware roadmap in a leading AI technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, analyze, profile, and optimize AI training workloads on state-of-the-art hardware and software platforms.
  • Guide development of future generations of AI accelerators and systems.
  • Develop detailed performance models and simulator infrastructure for computing systems accelerating AI training, and implement and evaluate hardware feature proposals.
  • Collaborate across teams spanning hardware to software and research to production to guide machine learning direction at NVIDIA.
  • Drive HW/SW co-design of NVIDIA's full deep learning platform stack, from silicon to DL frameworks.

Requirements

  • PhD in CS, EE or CSEE and 5+ years experience; or MS (or equivalent) and 8+ years relevant experience.
  • Strong background in computer architecture, with a proven track record in architecting features of high-performance processors.
  • Experience in artificial intelligence and large language models, especially training algorithms and workloads.
  • Experience analyzing and tuning application performance on advanced hardware.
  • Experience with processor and system-level performance modelling, simulation, and evaluation prior to silicon.
  • Programming skills in C++ and Python.
  • Familiarity with GPU computing across AI stack layers, including DL frameworks like PyTorch and CUDA.
