Role overview

As a Senior Federal Account Executive at Groq, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing sales opportunities within U.S. Federal agencies — including defense, intelligence, and civilian sectors. You will work closely with systems integrators and OEM partners to drive adoption of Groq's AI inference solutions and must understand federal procurement processes, mission requirements, and the AI/ML technology landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute account plans for targeted Federal Civilian and DoD agencies.
  • Engage with system integrators (e.g., Lockheed Martin, SAIC, Leidos, Accenture Federal) to build AI solution pipelines aligned to government mission needs.
  • Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in government IT, AI/ML, and acquisitions.
  • Drive revenue growth through direct sales and channel partnerships, working with OEM partners (e.g., Dell, HPE) and channel resellers.
  • Navigate procurement paths including OTAs, CSOs, SBIR/STTRs, and GWACs.
  • Lead technical and business discussions to position Groq’s inference solutions as enablers of real-time decision-making, autonomy, and cybersecurity.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, and Engineering to tailor solutions to public sector use cases.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and territory planning in CRM.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales or business development experience in public sector technology markets.
  • Proven track record of selling emerging technologies (AI/ML, HPC, silicon, or cloud) to federal agencies.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, mission-driven technology adoption, and federal IT modernization priorities.
  • Experience navigating complex government procurement vehicles and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a strategic mindset, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a startup environment.
  • U.S. citizenship required; active security clearance (Secret or above) preferred.
