Senior Field Application Engineer

Details

We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer specializing in datacenter system design and networking to support NVIDIA's AI computing solutions. This role focuses on technical engagement for OEM networking design-in and integration into large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI computing systems. The FAE will work across internal teams and with external customers to deliver and support enterprise AI datacenter platforms.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical specialist on networking and datacenter products to directly support sales account managers and deliver AI datacenter solutions.
• Solve complex hardware and deployment issues for customers.
• Provide onsite support for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI solutions.
• Establish and maintain technical relationships with customer engineers, management, and architects at focus accounts.
• Identify customer architectures and key product requirements in the enterprise AI market.
• Provide technical and sales training to direct sales teams and channel partners.
• Establish strong relationships and communication channels with internal teams.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of work-related experience in the high-tech electronics industry in a system design role or technical customer support role.
• In-depth knowledge of servers, storage systems, network devices, and other datacenter hardware.
• Experience and comfort working in a constantly evolving environment without losing focus; ability to multitask effectively.
• Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives, priorities, and implementations of new technology into complex projects.
• Expert written and oral communication skills in English with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and engineering.

Ways to stand out

• In-depth knowledge of InfiniBand, Ethernet, or similar networking solutions.
• Experience with large-scale rollouts of datacenter equipment.
• Deep networking knowledge: TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, switches, etc.
• Embedded Linux systems, APIs, and similar embedded OS knowledge.
• Experience working with OEMs in industrial, military, or ruggedized computing spaces.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary ranges (determined by location, experience, and internal pay parity):
  • Level 4: 160,000 USD - 253,000 USD
  • Level 5: 192,000 USD - 304,750 USD
• Eligible for equity and company benefits.
