NVIDIA is seeking a Field Applications Engineer focused on datacenter system and network design for AI computing. The role involves onsite technical engagement for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI computing systems and working across internal teams and external customers to deliver enterprise AI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite support for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI solutions.
- Troubleshoot and solve complex hardware and deployment issues.
- Act as a technical specialist on GPU and networking products, directly supporting sales account managers.
- Work closely with teams to design and deliver AI datacenter solutions.
- Establish and maintain technical relationships with customers' engineers, management, and architects at focus accounts.
- Identify customer architectures and key product requirements in the enterprise AI market.
- Provide technical and sales training to the direct sales team and channel partners.
- Establish strong relationships and communication channels with internal teams.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of work-related experience in the high-tech electronics industry in a system design role or technical customer support role.
- In-depth knowledge of servers, storage systems, network devices, and other data center hardware.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to multitask effectively in a multifaceted environment.
- Capable of working in a constantly evolving environment without losing focus.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills to coordinate multiple initiatives and implementations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English and ability to collaborate with management and engineering teams.
Ways to stand out
- Experience with large-scale rollouts of datacenter equipment.
- Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, switches, etc.
- Embedded Linux system, APIs, and similar embedded OS knowledge.
- Experience working with OEMs in industrial, military, and ruggedized computing spaces.
- Knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems for thermal management, power distribution, cabling, and rack layout, as well as CPU architecture knowledge.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary ranges (based on level and location):
- Level 3: 132,000 USD - 207,000 USD
- Level 4: 160,000 USD - 253,000 USD
