This role is for an exceptional Senior Financial Analyst to join the Engineering FP&A organization based out of the Santa Clara campus. The role requires a high level of analytical proficiency, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication. As an integral member of the Finance team, you will provide financial and business analysis that enables effective decision-making across the company and improves financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and analysis for the global Hardware Engineering organization, driving forecasting, budgeting, and investment optimization.
- Oversee engineering inventory management, including forecasting, reserve analysis, and excess material reviews.
- Manage global engineering lab investments by planning equipment purchases based on company roadmaps and partnering with engineering leaders to align with development priorities.
- Develop and maintain dynamic financial reporting frameworks covering budget, forecast, and variance analytics to improve visibility and decision-making.
- Leverage AI and automation tools (examples given: Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Databricks, Alteryx, Power BI) to build scalable data models, dashboards, and analytical reports that generate actionable business insights.
- Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency across engineering finance operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience); MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a global high-tech or manufacturing organization.
- Proven expertise in data analytics and financial modeling, including proficiency in tools and programming languages such as Python and SQL (or similar).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with financial ERP systems (SAP experience a plus).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and business partnership skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Compensation & Benefits
Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is:
- Level 3: 100,000 USD - 161,000 USD
- Level 4: 124,000 USD - 195,500 USD
You will also be eligible for equity and benefits (see links referenced in the original posting for details).
