Join the team to revolutionize Observability for Developers by building HyperDX, an open-source platform that transforms telemetry data into actionable insights, integrating logs, metrics, traces, and session replays to resolve root causes faster than traditional tools like Grafana, Datadog, or Elastic.
Responsibilities
- Own and develop key frontend features for HyperDX focused on improving debugging and monitoring for developers.
- Engage and collaborate with open-source contributors and customers, addressing their challenges and incorporating feedback into the product roadmap.
- Overcome technical challenges to optimize HyperDX for processing petabytes of observability data efficiently and scale the cloud-hosted platform to cater to a growing user base.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience building high-quality externally-facing UIs and dashboards.
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript (Next.js frontend and Express backend).
- Proficient in React.
- Solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful APIs.
- Project leadership experience from requirements gathering through production.
- Experience with Docker.
- Open source community involvement and passion for developer tooling.
- Ability to move quickly and learn from mistakes.
- Enthusiasm for creative freedom with minimal interruptions.
Bonus Points
- Experience with SQL and modern databases like ClickHouse.
- Strong opinions and vision for improving observability tools.
- Familiarity with Rust or PHP for building integrations.
Compensation
Salary ranges vary by location within the US:
- New York Area / San Francisco Area: $139,000 - $209,500 USD
- General US Remote: $120,000 - $175,000 USD
- Los Angeles, CA / Washington, DC: $125,000 - $188,550 USD
