Team Description

  • Vision to increase brand outcomes through continuous innovation
  • Builds ad formats like revamped Takeovers and Reminder Ads to deliver guaranteed inventory and alert users at relevant times
  • Team includes backend, web, iOS, Android specialists spread across Eastern and Pacific Time zones

Responsibilities

  • Build ad experiences and create UI patterns for Reddit’s Android app to enhance ad performance
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to innovate complex solutions
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle: design, development, QA, experimentation, analysis, and deployment

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of frontend engineering experience
  • Proficient in Typescript and Javascript
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals
  • Ability to build data-intensive, responsive, and fault-tolerant smartphone applications
  • Openness to innovative software development approaches
  • Skilled in code reviews and receptive to feedback

Bonus Points

  • Experience in ad tech
  • Experience working on high-production-value consumer-facing sites
