Responsibilities

  • Lead development of open-source data source plugins for Grafana as part of the AWS Data Sources squad.
  • Enhance the querying experience within a Grafana data source.
  • Investigate and resolve configuration issues impacting data sources.
  • Support reliability and operations of data sources in Grafana Cloud, including participation in on-call rotations.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and teams across the Data Sources group and other squads within the Grafana division to design and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Contribute to open-source user-facing software and help maintain high standards for plugin quality.

Requirements

  • Professional experience as a Full-stack Engineer with strong frontend expertise.
  • Solid experience with React and TypeScript for building user-facing applications.
  • Experience working with microservices architectures; backend experience (Go/Golang is a plus).
  • Familiarity with on-call responsibilities and performing operations / SRE tasks.
  • Experience with configuration technologies such as Jsonnet and Terraform.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, or similar platforms).
  • Experience or familiarity with AWS services relevant to data sources: CloudWatch, OpenSearch, Redshift, Athena, Aurora, Amazon Prometheus.
  • Comfortable communicating and collaborating in a remote-first company; curiosity and a drive to learn and grow.
