Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company powering observability for millions of users and thousands of organizations worldwide. The synthetics monitoring squad builds and operates Grafana Cloud Synthetics, a mission-critical product with thousands of users and billions of synthetic tests run each month. This role focuses on frontend development for Grafana Cloud’s synthetic monitoring application and related projects such as Grafana Cloud k6 and k6 studio.

Responsibilities

• Work with your squad to design, implement, and deliver new frontend features for Grafana Cloud Synthetics.
• Measure the impact of shipped work, iterate based on data and customer feedback, and improve product outcomes.
• Lead and manage projects through ideation, planning, development, and delivery stages.
• Collaborate closely with product management and UX/design to create excellent user experiences.
• Interact directly with customers to collect feedback, understand needs, and advocate for customers in the product lifecycle.
• Contribute to a positive team culture, fostering collaboration, psychological safety, and mutual respect.
• Participate in remote collaboration practices (video calls, documentation, async communication) across a fully remote engineering organization.

Requirements

• Strong experience building integrated frontend applications with React and TypeScript following modern patterns and best practices.
• Comfortable working in a remote-first engineering environment and collaborating across disciplines (product, design, backend).
• Pragmatic approach to problem solving: able to break down complex challenges, deliver MVPs, gather feedback, and iterate.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Bonus / desirable skills: familiarity with metrics collection, visualization, and alerting concepts; experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform; experience contributing across the stack or familiarity with backend languages like Go; prior use of Grafana and observability tools; experience with k6 and synthetic monitoring concepts.

Compensation & Benefits

• United States base compensation range: USD 154,000 - 193,000 (actual compensation may vary by level, experience, and skillset). All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
