Responsibilities

• Take an active role in influencing the roadmap and your own career objectives.
• Work with your team to deliver new features, then use the results to iterate and improve.
• Use AI tools every day, incorporated into the products you create and the way you create them.
• Embrace the open-source culture and contribute to other projects that may not directly fall within your team’s scope.
• Mentor and support other team members, participate in design discussions and collaborate with the team.
• Learn new skills by gaining a deeper understanding of Grafana Cloud product and customers and by working with a large distributed system codebase.
• Build a product knowledge base (content system) that is effortless to contribute to and that can generate content via automation and AI to keep marketing and training materials up to date.
• Operate in a remote-first setup with regular video collaboration; maintain strong communication and independent working habits.

Requirements

• Strong experience with frontend and fullstack technologies: React, TypeScript, Webpack, JavaScript testing frameworks.
• Backend experience with Go and scripting languages (experience with similar languages is acceptable).
• Considerable use of LLMs, AI tools, and workflow automation; experience building AI-driven workflows is a major plus.
• Experience developing and operating software that runs in Kubernetes.
• Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software that is easily maintained by others.
• Experience with CI/CD as a tool to ensure quality, support scale, and iterate quickly.
• Some experience delivering projects end-to-end: gathering requirements, brainstorming, shipping, and iterating.
• Motivated self-starter with a bias toward action; ability to produce work incrementally and ship fast.
• Passion for creating intuitive products that fit customers’ needs; pragmatic approach to breaking down complex challenges into modular solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills suitable for fully remote teamwork.

Bonus Points

• Experience using Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles (on-call or hobby/homelab projects).
• Exposure to microservices architectures and distributed systems, or a desire to learn.
• Familiarity with being on-call and performing operations/SRE tasks, or with infrastructure as code.

Compensation & Rewards

• In Germany, the base compensation range for this role is EUR 94,000 - EUR 117,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process.
• All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
• Compensation ranges are country specific; recruiters will discuss market-specific pay ranges for other locations.
