Senior Fullstack Engineer - Product Marketing

Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source powerhouse used by millions worldwide. The Product Marketing team sits inside R&D and is building a product knowledge base to keep training and marketing materials up to date and automated using AI. This role will help design and build that system, working with AI/LLMs, frontend and backend technologies, and distributed systems.

Location

This is a remote position. We are considering candidates in Germany, Sweden, Spain and the United Kingdom only.

Responsibilities

• Influence the roadmap and your own career objectives.
• Deliver new features, iterate on results, and ship incrementally.
• Use AI tools and LLMs every day; incorporate AI into the products you create and the way you create them.
• Embrace open-source culture and contribute to related projects.
• Mentor and support team members, participate in design discussions, and collaborate across teams.
• Learn the codebase of a large distributed system and gain deeper product and customer understanding.
• Work independently in a remote-first engineering organization, communicating effectively via video calls.

Requirements / What makes you a good fit

• Technologies you will be working with: React, TypeScript, Webpack, JavaScript testing frameworks, Go, and scripting languages (experience with other similar languages is fine).
• Considerable use of LLMs, AI tools, and workflow automation; experience building AI-driven workflows is a major plus.
• Experience delivering projects end-to-end: gathering requirements, brainstorming, shipping to customers, and iterating.
• Experience developing and operating software that runs in Kubernetes.
• Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software that is maintainable by others.
• Experience with CI/CD to ensure quality, support scale, and iterate quickly.
• Motivated self-starter with a bias toward action; produce work incrementally and ship fast.
• Passion for creating intuitive products that meet customer needs.
• Pragmatism: break down complex challenges, deliver MVPs, gather feedback, and iterate.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for fully remote teamwork.

Bonus Points

• Been a user of Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles (including on-call or hobby/homelab usage).
• Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems, or a desire to learn.
• Familiarity with being on-call and performing operations/SRE tasks or with the concept of infrastructure as code.

Compensation & Rewards

• In Spain, the base compensation range for this role is EUR 80,000 - EUR 100,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process.
• All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
• Compensation ranges are country specific; recruiters will discuss market-specific pay ranges if applying from other locations.
