At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager within IT Operations focused on site builds to elevate the quality and user experience across our global infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with Network Engineering, Workplace Experience, and Security teams to design, build, and optimize collaboration spaces, offices, hub sites, and centers of excellence worldwide. This role expects strong vendor management, network knowledge, and hands-on coordination during physical site builds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all IT-related activities throughout the lifecycle of global real estate projects, including new office builds, expansions, and ongoing maintenance of hub sites, collaboration spaces, and centers of excellence.
  • Own vendor relationships and contract negotiations for critical services, including Internet Service Providers (ISPs), low-voltage contractors, network equipment vendors, end-user equipment providers, and staging/setup services.
  • Coordinate rack and stack, configuration, and testing of network equipment with network engineering and on-site build teams.
  • Serve as primary liaison between site designers and low-voltage contractors; coordinate cabling infrastructure, Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDFs), and Main Distribution Frames (MDFs).
  • Manage end-user equipment lifecycle from ordering and procurement through vendor installation and desk setup.
  • Manage end-to-end circuit provisioning: quoting, ordering, installation, site surveys, vendor onboarding/approval, and review of Statements of Work (SOWs) and Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
  • Travel internationally as needed throughout the build cycle to new sites; participate in team and company offsites as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience building and optimizing people-centric facilities (offices, call centers, or similar environments).
  • Demonstrated expertise with various network hardware vendors and a solid understanding of fundamental networking principles.
  • Proven success managing relationships and projects with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) across diverse geographic regions.
  • Extensive experience in vendor management from quoting and selection through delivery, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Willingness to travel internationally several times throughout the build cycle.
  • Experience coordinating cabling infrastructure, IDFs/MDFs, rack-and-stack procedures, and onsite network equipment testing.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating SOWs and MSAs and navigating internal vendor onboarding and approval processes.

Nice to Haves

  • Direct experience with Juniper and/or Mist networking solutions.
  • Strong understanding of mid-level networking fundamentals.
  • Practical, hands-on experience with rack-and-stack procedures and cabling of network equipment.
