ABN AMRO is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (MLE) to join the Credits Grid, Data Science Center of Excellence. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working at the cutting edge of financial services technology, developing a central Machine Learning (ML) solution to meet evolving business needs. The candidate will work closely with Data scientists, Data & Devops engineers and is expected to have a robust set of technical skills in machine learning, system design, and coding, combined with strong business support.

Your Job

As part of credits CoE team, you will be working with Data Scientists in order to develop AI solutions and onboard multiple use cases across Credits Grid. Your main goal is to enable MLOps capabilities and productionalize AI use cases developed by data scientists on the Data Science Production Environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the ideation and design of AI use cases with Data Scientists;
  • Productionalize code developed by Data scientists, including unit testing, best coding practices and developing testing frameworks;
  • Use AI capabilities offered by the bank, e.g., OpenAI models and necessary AI techniques for Retrieval Augmented Generation;
  • Performance improvement and monitoring of solutions on the DSPE;
  • Onboard new Data Science use cases on the DSPE;
  • Development of CI/CD templates and standardized frameworks;
  • Create guidelines and processes for Data Science teams to use MLOps capabilities;
  • Mentor junior ML Engineers and set direction for best practices.

Your Profile

  • Academic background (MSc.) in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics;
  • 5+ years of experience in building machine learning based solutions;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business counterparts;
  • Team player needing minimal steering to be productive;
  • Up to date on latest developments within ML and able to guide others in optimal solutions;
  • Familiarity with Python, Spark, Git, Azure Devops;
  • Experience with Azure Cloud, specifically Machine Learning solutions like Azure ML and Databricks;
  • Experience with Azure Document Intelligence;
  • Familiarity with OpenAI models and concepts like RAG, embedding models, and chunking;
  • Fluency in English.
