This role will support Airbnb’s growth strategy across multiple countries and regions by delivering advanced analytics, actionable insights, and leading a distributed analytics team in partnership with senior international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead advanced analytics initiatives to identify growth opportunities and optimize strategies across different stages of market development globally.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP International (primary stakeholder), Director of Advanced Analytics, Business, and cross-functional partners (Strategic Finance and Analytics, Data and Analytical Engineering, Central Strategy and Intelligence, Data Science, Product Marketing, Marketing, Policy, and Comms).
  • Develop and refine metrics and KPIs to measure performance and impact of initiatives across geographies.
  • Utilize understanding of cultural, linguistic, and regulatory nuances to inform and customize analytics approaches for disparate markets.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a geographically distributed analytics team; foster innovation and collaboration across time zones.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment with stakeholders in multiple time zones (examples called out: Beijing, Paris, Miami, San Francisco).

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in advanced analytics with a proven track record of driving international growth and understanding market dynamics across diverse countries and regions.
  • Strong analytical and statistical modeling skills with the ability to turn complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Leadership experience managing and inspiring distributed teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Adaptive and flexible mindset to work with stakeholders across various time zones and cultural contexts.
  • Quantitative undergraduate degree required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Multilingual capabilities are highly advantageous.
  • Must be based in the Eastern time zone (applicants employed by another Airbnb entity will be advised by recruiter which U.S. states are eligible).

Benefits

  • Base pay range: $208,000 — $260,000 USD (actual base pay dependent on factors such as training, transferable skills, experience, business needs and market demands).
  • Role may be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
