This role is a Senior Manager of Field Engineering responsible for building and managing a global, high-performing Field Engineering team that acts as solution SMEs to accelerate and scale technical wins. You will partner closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to influence roadmap, maintain demo environments, and drive top-of-funnel programs and workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, ramp, mentor, and grow a diverse team of Field Engineers.
  • Coach individuals with an emphasis on performance, development, and people management.
  • Balance team workload across account engagement, project development and maintenance, engineering engagement, competitive intelligence, conferences, and enablement.
  • Own planning, actions, and outcomes for the team in alignment with leadership guidance and goals.
  • Act as a culture carrier; prioritize teamwork and collaboration.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
  • Partner with Sales leadership on top-of-funnel programs, marketing initiatives, and community/company events.
  • Understand key customer adoption strategies for Grafana technologies and develop enablement programs and collateral.
  • Ensure customer requirements feed back into Product and Engineering to deliver value.
  • Report on quarter-over-quarter cadence of team activities including discovery, demonstrations, stakeholder interviews, workshops, technical validation, POVs, and Mutual Account Plans.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in the high tech industry in roles such as Developer, Sales Engineer/Architect, SRE, Manager, etc.
  • 5+ years of people management experience in a sales organization, with direct experience mentoring and managing performance over time.
  • Direct experience selling monitoring, data, or visualization products and experience with complex enterprise sales.
  • Experience with open source or cloud-first / product-led go-to-market motions is a plus.
  • Direct experience implementing and/or executing formal sales methodologies and qualification frameworks (e.g., Command of the Message, MEDDPICC).
  • DevOps knowledge (IaC, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, etc.) is a plus.
  • Comfortable partnering with Product Management and Engineering and influencing product roadmap based on field feedback.

Compensation & Rewards

  • Sweden OTE (On-Target Earnings) range: SEK 1,186,000 - SEK 1,424,000. Actual compensation may vary by level, experience, and skillset.
  • Roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
  • Country-specific compensation ranges; recruiters will discuss market-specific pay ranges if applying from another location.
