Details

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Robotics Quality Assurance to join our SW QA team supporting the NVIDIA Robotics organization. You will be part of a team that drives quality and innovation for robotics products by creating engineering processes, building cross-functional relationships, and ensuring industry standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the overall test engineering strategy for robotics products, establishing an engineering-focused approach to quality (scalable test frameworks, tools, and methodologies).
  • Lead product testing and engineering efforts across a full-stack robotics solution, including software, simulation, and hardware integration.
  • Deliver test automation development for on-robot hardware & software and embedded software running on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor platform, including sensor integration validation, real-time performance, and low-level control systems.
  • Architect and implement rigorous test plans to validate AI foundation models (e.g., Isaac GR00T) focused on performance, safety, and reliability; test model outputs, identify edge cases, and ensure robustness.
  • Build and maintain test infrastructure for Simulation & Digital Twins environments (Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab) and develop automated tests verifying physics engine accuracy and transferability of learned policies from simulation to real robots.
  • Oversee test automation development for the full Robotics Software Stack, including Isaac ROS and its integration with other robotic components.
  • Architect, build, and maintain test infrastructure for a humanoid reference platform and develop methodologies to bridge the sim-to-real gap with continuous feedback between virtual and physical testing.
  • Lead the design of complex test scenarios in Isaac Sim/Lab that use generative AI to stress-test robot policies to ensure models trained in simulation (using Isaac GR00T) perform reliably on physical hardware.
  • Engage closely with cross-functional teams including project management, hardware and software developers; routinely share statistical data reports with customers.

Requirements

  • B.S. or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12+ years overall aligned hardware engineering experience with 3+ years of demonstrable QA experience involving robotics or hardware engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team.
  • Proficiency with AI tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Perplexity, and ChatGPT.
  • Experience with ML and training/testing robotics models.
  • Experience with fleet management, telemetry, debug, and managing demos.
  • Ability to translate organizational goals to QA deliverables.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ways to stand out (preferred)

  • Experience incorporating Vision-Language Models (VLMs) for robot perception and natural-language-driven behaviors.
  • Teleoperation experience — manipulation and setting up data collection labs.
  • Fluent scripting in Python.
