The Hypervisor and RTOS Team within NVIDIA DRIVE Software plays a critical role in NVIDIA's expansion into the world of artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles. Our job is to facilitate the sharing and separation of system resources while achieving real-time, safety, and security requirements. We develop Hypervisor and RTOS with a strong focus on automotive quality, safety, and security needed for the real-time, highly available system-level components of world-class Autonomous Vehicles. We are making extensive use of formal methods to automate our workflow and increase the quality of our SW. We are now looking for a seasoned engineering manager for a rapidly growing Hypervisor and RTOS team. Responsibilities
- Manage and strengthen a team of highly skilled engineers
- Drive development of Hypervisor technology for next generation automotive and other embedded applications
- Apply and invent processes to ensure high software quality and reliable schedules
- Directly collaborate with other groups to align technology development with NVIDIA goals
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in EE/CS/CE (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ overall years of software development and 4+ years of management experience
- Strong organizational skills to manage numerous ongoing projects and drive software development with a large team of globally distributed engineers
- Strong leader and great communicator, with the skills, experience, and maturity to lead the Hypervisor and RTOS team and interact directly with program managers, other engineering teams, and customers
- Extensive experience in mentoring and nurturing engineering staff
- Strong background in Embedded Software development
Ways to stand out from the crowd
- Previous Agile experience, especially with distributed teams and projects
- Experience with industrial quality, safety, and security standards: SPICE, ISO26262, Common Criteria
- Experience with Hypervisor and OS kernel or device driver development for ARM CPUs and SoC
