Senior Methodology Engineer, CAD Tooling

As a member of the team you will help build solutions to boost productivity and efficiency of custom circuit designs, engaging with multi-functional teams to ensure robustness across product lines.

Responsibilities

• Work within a multi-functional team on projects involving pre-silicon and post-silicon hardware design and related data.
• Work with different design teams to understand design needs and evaluate CAD tools by creating test cases and running evaluations.
• Support existing development infrastructure, identify improvements and implement solutions in collaboration with design engineers.
• Employ good software engineering practices to develop complex and scalable systems.

Requirements

• MS required (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in VLSI CAD flows and methodology is required.
• Strong programming skills in multiple languages (C++, Tcl, Python, Makefile or other scripting languages).
• Prior experience with tool development, testing and evaluation is required.
• Good interpersonal skills; quick learner, proactive, innovative, highly motivated, and committed.

Ways to stand out

• Previous work in VLSI, ASIC, or EDA is a definite plus.
• Previous experience working with AEs.
• Experience collaborating across multiple levels and teams across organizations.
• Effective interpersonal and technical presentation skills.
• Self-starter with passion for growth and continuous learning; willing to share findings across the team.

• Base salary range (determined by location and experience): 136,000 USD - 212,750 USD.
