Senior .NET Backend Engineer

Details

You will join a newly forming Customer Success Tech team as a Backend Developer working on creating a more efficient and intelligent workplace for human agents and automating customer handling across channels. The team focuses on Agent Assist, smarter forecasting, voicebot technology, advanced intelligent routing and other contributing solutions. The platform landscape is built using .NET Core and Azure DevOps, and the team will leverage Microsoft GenAI tooling and other partner solutions to realise agentic customer service.

Responsibilities

• Create a more efficient and intelligent workplace for human Agents by automating repetitive manual work and providing intelligent tooling.
• Reduce human-handled customer questions by automating handling of incoming questions via app/web/call/mail.
• Create a more intelligent central routing solution to route customers to the best possible channel or agent based on customer variables and indicators.
• Create a voicebot linked to CoPilot Studio providing self-service and intelligent routing.
• Collaborate within cross-functional product teams to architect and deliver backend solutions using .NET Core and Azure DevOps.
• Inject innovation into production processes and contribute ideas to enhance digital products.
• Craft enduring, future-proof backend solutions with attention to quality and performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in .NET Core and Azure DevOps and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in both .NET and Azure is a must.
• Experience in developing scalable, high-performance applications in Azure.
• Experience working in ADO (Azure DevOps); the CI/CD environment is built in ADO and works fully automatically.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers and project managers.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Desired / beneficial experience (not strictly mandatory):

• Microsoft GenAI tooling (for example AI Foundry) – big bonus.
• CRM, Genesys CX Cloud, Dynamics 365, MS Power Platform.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kafka and other cloud-native tools (mentioned as tools to leverage where appropriate).

Where you'll work & Working model

• You will integrate into the backend team and join a platform or product team, keeping quality and performance of backend applications across Eneco's digital platforms in mind.
• Hybrid working: work 40% at the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly. With manager approval you may work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year, maximum 2 consecutively.
• Location: Eneco - Rotterdam. Applicants must be based in the Netherlands.

Compensation & Benefits

• Gross annual salary between €85.000 and €120.000 (including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on role a bonus or collective profit sharing).
