Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and maintain a high-availability and secure TCP/IP network for controlling, monitoring, and alerting functions within enterprise data center environments, supporting mechanical, electrical, liquid cooling, and security components.
- Implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks.
- Configure firewalls, routers, and switches to improve network efficiency and security.
- Test and optimize network systems.
- Define and implement network maintenance and management practices.
- Collaborate with other groups/teams to identify, define, and implement integrations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a data center network engineering and administration role.
- Demonstrated experience with Cumulus.
- Deep understanding of the OSI-ISO model, switching and routing protocols, IPv4 addressing, and common TCP/IP protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure and meet ambitious objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred / Ways to stand out
- Relevant certifications such as NVIDIA Certified Professional - Cumulus, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or Juniper Networks Certified Enterprise Routing and Switching Expert (JNCIE-ENT).
- Experience with next-generation data center architectures and technologies and familiarity with programming languages for automation such as Python.
- Experience with VLAN, Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and expertise in network security strategies and methodologies.
- First-hand data center operations experience.
- Active involvement in industry-specific communities or networks.
Compensation & Benefits
Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 235,750 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits (see NVIDIA benefits page).
