Airbnb seeks an experienced Senior Partnerships Manager, Host Payouts to drive the vision, execution, and ongoing performance of the partner network that supports how Airbnb pays its global host community across 200+ markets. Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve payout partner strategy in collaboration with Payments, Product, Compliance and Finance teams to ensure coverage, performance, and alignment with Airbnb’s strategic and financial goals.
  • Identify partners in each market, structure new deals, and renegotiate existing relationships to optimize for cost, reliability, reach, and innovation.
  • Drive global deal execution for payouts: develop commercial structures, navigate regional regulatory constraints, and shape contracts to meet Airbnb’s needs.
  • Own and cultivate high-impact relationships with financial institutions, payment processors, banks, and other partners; manage executive-level engagement to ensure Airbnb is a priority client.
  • Monitor partner performance, identify gaps or opportunities, and lead cross-functional efforts to resolve issues or evolve terms.
  • Lead strategic business reviews and act as point of escalation for performance or operational misalignment.
  • Assist in scaling Airbnb’s payout infrastructure so partner decisions reflect regional needs, market conditions, cost structures, and regulatory environments.
  • Partner with Legal, Treasury, Risk, Product, Engineering, and Global Operations to align execution with global strategy.
  • Track industry and macroeconomic changes affecting international payments and propose opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in payments or fintech, with at least 8 years in strategic partnerships, business development, or enterprise account management.
  • Demonstrated success owning commercial negotiations and managing multi-million dollar partnerships balancing customer experience, innovation, and financial return.
  • Proven ability to craft and execute partner strategies that drive measurable business growth and process improvement.
  • Deep knowledge of global payment methods, financial products, and cross-border payout solutions.
  • Understanding of payments cost structure (interchange, chargebacks, FX, treasury flow) and experience optimizing cost through partner levers.
  • Experience resolving partner conflicts or escalations across multiple markets or regulatory contexts.
  • Strong storytelling and analytical skills; ability to use data to advocate for business needs and influence stakeholders.
  • Success working in highly matrixed environments and bringing together diverse stakeholders to move complex partnerships forward.

Preferred Qualifications

  • International payments experience, especially in marketplace or platform models.
  • Experience advising internal stakeholders on partner enablement strategy in platform organizations.
