Details

NVIDIA is seeking an extraordinary Senior Perception Engineer to develop and productize autonomous driving perception solutions. You will work on end-to-end camera perception, online map generation, and scene understanding tasks to improve robustness, accuracy, and efficiency for autonomous driving in diverse and challenging environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end solutions for perception and the AV stack to enable camera perception, online map generation, and scene understanding in complex driving environments. Example perception targets include road topology and geometry with elements such as lane lines, road boundaries, stop/wait lines, crosswalks, etc.
  • Conduct applied research and R&D of innovative deep learning models to improve detection and classification accuracy across diverse and challenging scenarios.
  • Develop generalizable approaches to support Operational Design Domain (ODD) and country/region expansion.
  • Productize perception solutions to meet product requirements for safety, latency, and software robustness.
  • Drive and prioritize data-driven development by collaborating with large data collection and labeling teams; responsibilities include data collection prioritization and planning, labeling prioritization, and labeling efficiency optimization to maximize data value.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work experience demonstrating technical leadership and handling high technical and organizational complexity in related academic or industrial fields.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience developing deep learning algorithms for sophisticated real-world problems; proficiency with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch).
  • Experience with data-driven development and close collaboration with data and ground-truth teams.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
  • Outstanding communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a tightly-knit team and learn from peers.
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, sciences, or related fields — or equivalent experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranges (determined by location, experience, and comparator pay):
    • Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD
    • Level 5: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD
  • Eligible for equity and benefits. See NVIDIA benefits for details.

Other

  • Applications accepted at least until September 26, 2025.
  • NVIDIA is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse work environment.
