We're looking for a Senior Performance Engineer who shares our vision for transforming healthcare. As part of our team, you'll work alongside researchers, developers, and experts in the field to tackle some of the most challenging and impactful problems of our time.
Responsibilities
- Optimize the computational performance of AI innovations that address domain-relevant bottlenecks.
- Design and implement computationally performant features for large-scale, CUDA-backed ML training and inference frameworks and data science tooling.
- Develop and maintain an HPC software stack for generative machine learning models in digital biology and beyond.
- Collaborate with multiple HPC, AI infrastructure, and research teams.
- Drive testing and maintenance of algorithms and software modules.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Computational Biology, Computational Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record in performance engineering as well as software design, building and packaging, and launching software products.
- Deep understanding of parallel programming in C++ and Python; CUDA programming experience.
- Proficient in modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, and Warp.
- Experience developing and maintaining HPC software stacks and working with large-scale ML training and inference workloads.
- Ability to learn from and teach others; strong collaboration and teamwork skills.

Compensation & Benefits
Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
