Details

Join Collibra’s Platform Infrastructure Engineering team and contribute to the cloud foundation that runs Collibra services. This team focuses on multi-cloud architectures, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, Golang automation, and operational resilience. You will work on platform architecture, developer enablement, automation and production operability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop controllers and automation to enable developer workflows and platform capabilities.
  • Contribute to platform infrastructure architecture and collaborate with other infrastructure engineers using GitOps, IaC and Kubernetes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot complex service issues, implement security best practices, and maintain clear documentation (architecture, procedures).
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements in platform engineering and infrastructure automation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, or infrastructure-focused roles, plus a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, OR equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and managing production services using Kubernetes and GitOps/IaC at scale (tens to hundreds of Kubernetes clusters).
  • Experience managing production workloads and infrastructure on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes clusters and managing containerized services in production.
  • Demonstrable experience writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform) and proficiency in Golang or Python for automation.
  • Preferred: CKA / CKAD, Istio, ArgoCD, deep experience with networking and Linux, and experience with monitoring/logging/observability tools and traces (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Honeycomb).
  • Experience creating controllers and automation patterns to manage Kubernetes resources.
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA without requiring sponsorship.
  • Because this role supports the US government, the candidate must be a US citizen who resides on US soil.

Measures of Success

  • First month: Gain exposure to the technical environment and meet partner teams.
  • Third month: Independently execute assigned tasks, demonstrating understanding of core platform technologies (Cloud, Kubernetes, IaC, GitOps) and team workflows.
  • Sixth month: Participate in key automation initiatives and deliver reliable mid-complexity infrastructure improvements, reducing complexity through refactoring existing automations.

Compensation

  • Base salary range: 152,000 - 190,000 per year.
  • This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation.
  • Salary offers are based on a combination of factors including experience, skills, and location.
  • In addition to base salary: equity ownership, bonus potential, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401(k) plans, and more.

Benefits

  • Flexible benefits program including competitive compensation, health coverage, and time off.
  • Inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunity employment policies.
  • Accommodations available for applicants upon request.

Location & Eligibility

  • Remote (East Coast USA). Candidate must be a U.S. citizen residing on U.S. soil and eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
