Senior Platform Engineer (CI/CD IaC)

At Eneco you will join the Trade Tech Platform Engineering team to run and further develop a Mission Critical hybrid platform that hosts some of Eneco's most critical applications. You will work with third-party partners, enable application teams with self-service capabilities, and improve the platform from security, resilience and observability perspectives. You will mentor junior engineers and promote a DevSecOps way of working.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain secure, resilient cloud infrastructure
• Create reusable building blocks (CI/CD, IaC) for use by application teams
• Ensure performance, scalability and maintainability of solutions
• Define and maintain basic SLOs and SLIs; contribute to incident analysis to reduce MTTR
• Ensure full observability of the platform and the applications running on it
• Mentor junior engineers via code reviews and pair programming
• Work with third-party partners to ensure a reliable, usable platform
• Collaborate with developers, testers and product managers
• Stay current with modern development and operational practices

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in platform engineering or site reliability engineering within digital product organisations
• Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure), hybrid platforms, networking and operational best practices
• Proven experience with Azure DevOps, Kubernetes (we primarily use OpenShift), Terraform and GitOps (we use ArgoCD)
• Ability to design, align and document platform architecture
• Basic scripting ability with Python and/or Bash
• Based in the Netherlands and fluent in English

• Experience running Mission Critical infrastructure
• Knowledge of the energy sector
• Specialism in security in hybrid platforms
• Specialism in networking in hybrid platforms

Where you'll work

You will be part of the Trade Tech Platform Engineering team. The role is based in Rotterdam (Netherlands) and the position follows a hybrid working model (you work ~40% at the office and ~40% at home; the remaining day you decide what works best).

• Gross annual salary between €85.000 and €120.000 (including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance; depending on role a bonus or collective profit sharing)
