Details

You will join a Data & AI team responsible for maintaining and improving data infrastructure that supports millions of customers and hundreds of terabytes of data. The role focuses on administering and automating Snowflake environments, ensuring performance, cost efficiency, security, and scalability, and enabling self-service data mesh setups for product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and optimize Snowflake environments, including account setup, user roles and permissions, and warehouse optimization.
  • Build and automate scalable Snowflake environments using infrastructure-as-code.
  • Implement monitoring and automation to ensure stability, scalability, and performance of critical systems.
  • Create self-service capabilities and automate data mesh environments so teams have their own environments for data management.
  • Integrate and automate tooling such as DBT and Airflow for pipeline orchestration and data transformations.
  • Improve data governance and cataloging using Collibra.
  • Guide product teams on Snowflake best practices for data ingestion and transformation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, operations, and business stakeholders; mentor teams on modern data practices.

Requirements

  • Hands-on Snowflake experience (account setup, administration, configuration, optimization).
  • 5+ years of experience in SRE, infrastructure management or data engineering.
  • Proficient with Terraform for infrastructure management.
  • Proficient with at least one programming language (e.g., Python).
  • Skilled in CI/CD automation using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub.
  • Familiarity with Collibra, Airflow, and DBT.
  • Experience or familiarity with Databricks (used for ML use cases).
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills; experience mentoring teams.
  • Focus on monitoring, performance tuning, cost management and security for data platforms.
