Senior Platform Manager, CS Business Testing

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Platform Manager to join the Community Support (CS) Platform and Experience team to lead business testing efforts that enable an intelligent, scalable, and exceptional service experience for millions of guests and hosts.

Role overview

You will partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, data science, product and operations) to create comprehensive test plans, testing requirement documents, and strategies to guide the testing process. You will drive cross-functional initiatives to improve product and release quality, identify and implement improvements to the testing process, and develop processes and dashboards for tooling access, tooling account management, and vendor spend tracking. This role leads a small team of UAT testers and operates in a global environment across cultures, locations, and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross-functional partner teams to create comprehensive test plans, testing requirement documents, and testing strategies.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve product and release quality and identify operational inefficiencies.
• Develop and refine processes and dashboards for tooling access, tooling account management, and vendor spend tracking.
• Lead and mentor a small team of UAT testers; coordinate UAT efforts across stakeholders.
• Implement process improvements and ensure consistent testing practices across releases.
• Use complex datasets to generate real-time insights and planning for testing and release activities.
• Collaborate across engineering, design, data science, product and operations to deliver user-centric solutions.

Requirements (Your Expertise)

• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Business Testing, or related fields.
• 3+ years of management experience leading testing or QA teams.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use complex datasets for real-time insights and planning.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging, ideating, and collaborating with diverse teams and leadership.
• Ability to identify operational inefficiencies, develop solutions, and implement process improvements.
• Experience with Google G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Shared Drive).
• Familiarity with project management or administrative tools such as Asana, Airtable, LucidChart, and DocuSign is a plus.
• Collaborative, community-first, user-centric mindset with experience working on cross-functional projects blending technology, operations, and product.
• Experience operating in global environments across cultures, locations, and time zones.

Typical day

• Create and maintain test plans and testing requirement documents.
• Lead cross-functional testing coordination and release readiness activities.
• Build dashboards and reports to track tooling access, vendor spend, and testing metrics.
• Mentor and manage a small team of UAT testers.

Benefits & Compensation

• Base pay range: $194,000—$239,000 USD (actual base pay dependent on factors such as experience, skills, and market).
• This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
• US - Remote Eligible; role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager. Candidates must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity (see Airbnb careers for excluded states).
