Airbnb seeks a Senior Manager on the Policy Products team to scale global policy efforts by shaping government-facing product offerings used by thousands of governments worldwide. This role combines strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration with product, legal, and engineering teams, and program implementation to deliver scalable solutions across many jurisdictions. The role is US - Remote Eligible and may require occasional office work or travel to meet government partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a small, high-impact team; provide people management, coaching, and development.
  • Set strategic direction for government-focused products Airbnb should build now and in the future.
  • Identify long-term regulatory trends and design tools that keep Airbnb prepared across many jurisdictions.
  • Define practical solutions that can be applied across multiple cities or regions.
  • Guide new product ideas from early planning through launch to ensure they meet the needs of Airbnb and government partners.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Policy, Product, Legal, Engineering) to translate government requirements into usable products.
  • Serve as a primary contact for government partners: onboard, train, and support their use of Airbnb products.
  • Implement training, reporting, and feedback programs to ensure scalable collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve team processes and effectiveness; identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Travel as needed to meet with government partners and support projects.

Requirements

  • People management experience with the ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
  • At least seven years of experience in public policy, advocacy, government relations, marketing, or operations.
  • Demonstrated program or project management experience in fast-paced, complex environments; track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex ideas and influence senior leadership and government officials.
  • Proven experience working collaboratively across multiple functions (Policy, Product, Legal, Engineering) and aligning on shared objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset for strategic decision-making and process optimization.
  • Experience operating within regulatory or policy frameworks and understanding policy development and implementation challenges.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Base pay range: $164,000 — $205,000 USD.
  • Role may be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
  • Base pay depends on factors such as training, transferable skills, experience, business needs, and market conditions; range may be modified in the future.

  • Offices: United States.
