Details

As a Strategic Portfolio Manager you will build and take decisions for the technical setup of Eneco’s strategic portfolio and the core data platform powering Eneco’s long term energy outlook. You will work with real energy data and cutting-edge technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake and Azure, collaborating closely with strategic portfolio managers, data scientists and traders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical decisions and set up projects involving the technical setup of our strategic portfolio and portfolio management
  • Architect and implement a cloud-based data platform to efficiently handle, store, process, and utilize data from various sources (customer data, smart meters, wind turbines, solar panels, power plants, IoT devices)
  • Deploy, monitor and manage data pipelines and applications in production
  • Integrate and prepare raw data to support strategic portfolio managers, data scientists and other data professionals
  • Design and implement data solutions and new projects from scratch
  • Write well-documented code and perform/review code from colleagues
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and discuss project requirements
  • Ensure solutions are robust, scalable and ready for future challenges

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical data role (e.g., data engineer, ML engineer or data scientist)
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake and Azure
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Strong understanding of data management topics, including schema evolution and storage formats
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices: code reviews, version control, testing and CI/CD
  • Experience in (leading) multi-disciplinary teams where data professionals from different domains work together
  • Ability to collaborate with less-technical colleagues and translate technical choices into business value

Benefits

  • Gross annual salary between €82,000 and €132,000 (including FlexBudget and 8% holiday allowance; depending on role, bonus or collective profit sharing)
