Airbnb's Privacy team implements and maintains a world-class privacy program to deliver a trusted experience to the Airbnb community and ensure compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws. The Senior Privacy Manager, Engagement advances privacy and compliance culture by executing corporate engagement and education strategies, aligning with legal requirements and technological advances (including machine learning and AI), and leading the Privacy Champions program to foster organizational advocacy and privacy-by-design approaches.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute corporate engagement, training, and communication strategies to promote privacy awareness and compliance across Airbnb.
- Partner with legal and privacy experts to stay informed of evolving privacy laws and AI regulations (e.g., DSA, GDPR, EU AI Act) and translate requirements into accessible content for target audiences.
- Design and deliver privacy- and AI-related curriculum for cross-functional teams, ensuring employees can navigate privacy challenges.
- Foster a culture of privacy and data protection through awareness initiatives, educational materials, and training programs.
- Create and lead the Privacy Champions program: build a community of subject-matter experts who act as privacy evangelists, discuss privacy concepts and risks, and align on mitigation strategies.
- Manage Privacy Program training and materials, refreshing content based on regulatory requirements or organizational needs.
Requirements
- 3β5 years of experience in privacy, compliance, corporate training, communications, or stakeholder engagement, preferably in a global B2C tech company.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create engaging training materials and drive awareness initiatives.
- Ability to translate complex privacy regulations and AI policies into accessible concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- Experience developing and executing corporate training programs or engagement strategies aligned with legal and business requirements.
- Proven ability to build and maintain company-wide programs and train internal privacy evangelists.
- Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives and drive alignment across teams.
Location & Work Arrangement
- This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: $160,000 β $200,000 USD (base pay depends on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands).
- This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
