Join Coinbase to lead the Consumer Stablecoins & Payments Design Team and help build onchain products that update the global financial system.
Coinbase's mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. This role is for a candidate passionate about crypto and blockchain technology, able to operate in an intense, high-caliber environment, and willing to participate in in-person activities throughout the year despite a remote-first culture. The team focuses on stablecoins and B2B payments as a significant growth pillar for 2025.
Responsibilities
- Partner strategically with Product, Engineering, and UX Research to drive team strategy, product decisions, and roadmap priorities.
- Own end-to-end user journeys and all aspects of design execution: vision, ideation, prototyping, user testing, and final production.
- Partner closely with the Design Systems team to create scalable design frameworks and solutions.
- Establish and lead the design function for the product area.
- Provide mentorship and design feedback to design team members.
- Contribute hands-on to stablecoins and B2B payments product experiences, balancing a crypto-forward perspective with web2 user needs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Product Design experience, including fintech and B2B experience.
- Experience managing teams and proven track record of leading a design function across a product area.
- Ability to own the end-to-end design process from initial concept to final implementation.
- Mastery of visual & interaction design skills, prototyping, and UX best practices.
- Ability to collaborate and partner strategically with UX Research, Product, and Engineering to influence product decisions and strategy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; low ego and open-minded.
- In-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites (remote-first but not remote-only).
Nice to Have
- Experience with APIs.
- Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
Pay
- Pay Range (target annual salary): 260,100 CAD β 260,100 CAD.
- Full-time offers also include target bonus, target equity, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.).
