Responsibilities

  • Design core improvements to the largest and most popular parts of Sentry products.
  • Collaborate with a team of designers weekly to share work and ideas.
  • Contribute to the component library and design documentation.
  • Help developers globally be more efficient by maximizing signal and limiting noise.
  • Create a consistent look and feel across products.
  • Define systems that enable design and frontend teams to work more efficiently and collaboratively.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product design experience or equivalent portfolio demonstrating expertise.
  • Frontend experience with HTML/CSS and a solid understanding of web design principles.
  • Strong visual design skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience conducting user interviews and interpreting results.
  • Expert proficiency with Figma or other modern design tools.
  • Ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive user experiences.
  • Bonus skills include familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like React, active GitHub profile/open-source contributions, experience with SVG for data visualization, and usage of version control (e.g., Git).
  • Experience designing and building tools as part of a small team.
  • Deep understanding of developer workflows and their frustrations.
