Senior Product Designer - Coinbase One

This role is for a Senior Product Designer focused on growth for Coinbase One — an important Consumer offering for engaged crypto traders and enthusiasts.

While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end user journey and all aspects of design execution: ideation, prototyping, user testing, and final production.
• Raise the quality bar with rigorous attention to detail, considering edge cases and scalability across all Coinbase One membership offerings.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing to define and execute the product roadmap.
• Design web and mobile experiences that are simple and intuitive.
• Participate in regular design critiques to receive and provide feedback on design work.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience (bonus for subscription or membership model products).
• Strong communicator with a track record of influencing product direction and aligning stakeholders on complex products at scale.
• Sharp attention to detail and mastery in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.
• Comfortable balancing quality and speed in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, cross-functional environments.
• Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools.
• Collaborative, low-ego team player with a growth mindset.

Nice to haves

• Design experience working on subscription & loyalty products.
• Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.

Compensation

Pay Range: $180,370 — $212,200 USD (target annual salary; full-time offers also include target bonus, target equity, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).

Interview process / AI disclosure

• For select roles, Coinbase is piloting an AI tool to conduct initial screening interviews; responses may be recorded/transcribed and assessed by a human recruiter.
• Coinbase is also piloting an AI interview intelligence platform (BrightHire) to transcribe and summarize interview notes. These pilots are for testing; Coinbase will not use AI to make employment decisions.
