Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP) has an ambitious vision to bring a million developers onchain. The team builds APIs, SDKs, and other developer tools across crypto payments, trading, wallets, onchain data, AI/ML, and more. CDP is a small, fast-moving team with strong ownership and a focus on delighting onchain builders. This role is crypto-forward and focused on creating developer experiences for web and mobile.

While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, they are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites. Attendance is expected and supported.

Responsibilities

• Work in a small team to iteratively improve developer experience.
• Take new features from ideation to prototyping, user testing, and production.
• Design web and mobile experiences that are simple and intuitive.
• Participate in regular design reviews; seek and incorporate feedback.
• Execute on the product roadmap and help define product strategy.
• Collaborate daily with Engineering, User Research, and Product teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Product Design experience.
• Experience designing developer experiences for web and mobile (APIs/SDKs/developer tools context).
• Excellence in UX thinking, visual design, and written communication.
• Experience working collaboratively with engineers, user researchers, and product teams.
• Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools; effective use of AI in product design is expected.
• Low ego, collaborative, and open-minded.
• Demonstrated interest in crypto products (active user of DeFi apps, wallets, exchange(s), etc.).

Nice to haves

• Prior design experience in crypto or financial products.
• Software development experience.
• Startup experience.

Pay Transparency

• Pay Range (target annual salary): $180,370 — $212,200 USD. Full-time offers may include target bonus, target equity, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).
