Senior Product Designer - Developer Platform

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. To achieve that mission, Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP) is building an onchain developer platform — APIs, SDKs, and developer tools across crypto payments, trading, wallets, onchain data, AI/ML, and more. CDP is a small, fast-moving team with strong ownership culture focused on delighting onchain builders.

This role is remote-first with in-person participation required throughout the year (team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually). Job ID: GDPD05US.

Responsibilities

• Work in a small team to iteratively improve developer experience (DX).
• Take new features from ideation to prototyping, user testing, and production.
• Design web and mobile experiences that are simple and intuitive.
• Participate in regular design reviews, solicit and incorporate feedback.
• Execute on the product roadmap and help define product strategy.
• Collaborate daily with Engineering, User Research, and Product.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional product design experience.
• Experience designing developer experiences for web and mobile.
• Excellence in UX thinking, visual design, and written communication.
• Experience working collaboratively with engineers, user researchers, and product teams.
• Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools; effective use of AI in product design.
• Low ego, collaborative, and open minded.
• Demonstrated interest in crypto products (e.g., active user of DeFi apps, wallets, exchanges).

Nice to haves

• Prior design experience in crypto or financial products.
• Software development experience.
• Startup experience.

Pay Transparency

Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full-time offers also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).

Pay range: $180,370—$212,200 USD
