As a Senior Product Manager you will join the Chronos Trading Product Family to lead the asset-backed trading initiatives. You will help the trading team optimise trading across commodities using internal asset and external market data. Eneco trades commodities such as power and is active in proprietary trading, which requires reliable trading automation and algorithmic trading. You will be responsible for modernising trading capabilities and building scalable, data-driven products that support medium- to long-term commodity trading strategies and the energy transition toward climate neutrality by 2035.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision and product strategy for the Asset Backed Trading domain.
- Act as the key liaison between development teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and trading analysts.
- Lead the development of data-driven products that support asset-backed trading and the energy transition.
- Support Asset Backed Trading in trading activities such as algorithmic trading and trade automation initiatives.
- Implement an OKR-driven approach, focusing on measurable outcomes to drive strategic goals.
- Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in product management, particularly in the trading domain (energy, options, derivatives, or commodity trading).
- Proven expertise in developing scalable, high-performance data platform products from scratch.
- Experience in automated or algorithmic trading.
- Ability to define and drive product vision and roadmap, aligning with business objectives.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Bonus: solid understanding of fundamental trading analyses.
Where you’ll work
- You will work in the Energy IT trading team (a new team) and will have the opportunity to create your own vision, strategy and team structure.
- The role is located in Rotterdam and is part of the Chronos Trading Product Family.
