Come working with us towards a climate neutral environment by 2035.

Lead the development of mission-critical digital solutions that support energy trading, forecasting, and operational excellence, directly contributing to Eneco’s ambitious goal of climate neutrality by 2035.

Work at the intersection of technology, reliability, and innovation, leveraging DevOps and SRE principles to build resilient, data-driven solutions that power Eneco’s digital transformation.

Why choose Eneco?

At Eneco, our One Planet strategy sets an ambitious goal to be climate neutral by 2035. We are dedicated to offering our customers innovative solutions and digital capabilities to support this vision. Our Energy Trade Technology department is modernizing the energy trade value chain—encompassing trading, sourcing, forecasting, settlement, and more—to provide real-time, reliable services that help accelerate the energy transition.

What you’ll do

From the moment a megawatt is bought or sold on the electricity market, it races through a tight chain—front-office trading algorithms strike the deal, nomination engines schedule volumes with TSOs, settlement systems reconcile every euro and kilowatt, and our own Virtual Power Plant (VPP) keeps the flow balanced minute-by-minute. As Senior Product Manager for Energy Trading Technology, you’ll set the vision and own the roadmap for your domain, replacing legacy tools with cloud-native, failure-proof, state-of-the-art platforms, defining SLIs/SLOs, and guiding cross-functional squads to deliver, scale and continuously optimize the stack that powers Eneco’s push toward a climate-neutral 2035.

Is this about you?

You’re a seasoned product manager who stays calm when the stakes are high and the pace is quick. Turning complex ideas into clear plans is your specialty, and you enjoy bringing people from different backgrounds—traders, engineers, finance, and operations—around a shared goal. You rely on data to guide decisions, keep teams focused on what matters most, and make sure every release is dependable and user-friendly. Above all, you’re excited to lead, take ownership, and build the products that will help Eneco reach its climate-neutral 2035 ambition.

Required Experience:

  • Proven record of steering product for large-scale, real-time platforms
  • Hands-on expertise in reliability design, with a habit of grounding decisions in clear metrics

  • Experience building high performance teams through transparent communication and shared ownership
  • Full product lifecycle management—from shaping the business case to launch and continuous improvements
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to coordinate multiple teams and vendors ensuring ambitious ideas land on time, on budget, and meeting Eneco Energy Trade quality standards
  • Optimizing chains—ensuring chains of applications are as simple as possible, making data flow short, ensuring less scattered data and fast processes

You’ll be responsible for

  • Steering every stage of delivery—keeping operations smooth and products shipped on time
  • Continually hunting for data-backed opportunities to add value
  • Nurturing strong, cross-functional relationships so everyone rows in the same direction
  • Setting and tracking a clear roadmap and OKRs that ladder up to Eneco’s mission
  • Acting as the storyteller for your product, energizing colleagues and stakeholders inside and outside the company
  • Addressing current bottlenecks in data management, old legacy systems, and speed; ensuring Eneco has state-of-the-art software

This is where you’ll work

You’ll join Eneco’s dynamic digital organization, based in Rotterdam, where collaboration and innovation drive the energy transition. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team in an environment that values your ideas and expertise, and make a direct impact on Eneco’s mission to become carbon neutral.
