As a Senior Product Manager you will join the Chronos Trading Product Family to lead the data processing and infrastructure for asset-backed trading initiatives. You will support Asset Backed Trading from Tech by providing the proper data and technological solutions for trading activities such as algorithmic trading, market models and other trade initiatives. You will set the stage for high-impact data products that fit medium- to long-term commodity trading needs and help Eneco reach its sustainability goal of becoming climate neutral in 2035.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision and product strategy for the data and infrastructure components of the Asset Backed Trading domain.
  • Lead the development of data-driven products that support energy transition and meet the needs of asset-backed trading (algorithmic trading, market models, trading initiatives).
  • Act as the key liaison between data engineers, software engineers, traders, market analysts and quantitative analysts.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Implement an OKR-driven approach, focusing on measurable outcomes to drive strategic goals.
  • Help optimize trading across commodities using internal asset and external market data; build greenfield data products and migrate existing processes where needed.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in product management; bonus if in trading data and technology domain.
  • Experience developing scalable, high-performance data platform products from scratch.
  • Experience in automated or algorithmic trading.
  • Ability to define and drive product vision and roadmap, aligning with business objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities; ability to work with traders and quantitative analysts.
  • Experience or knowledge within the energy markets is a bonus.

Where you'll work

You will work in the Tech department at Eneco, focused fully on initiatives in Trade and Structuring. Almost all stakeholders will have backgrounds in trading and quantitative analysis. This is a new team with greenfield opportunities and responsibility for migrating existing processes. The role allows you to create your own vision, strategy and tech team around you.

  • Gross annual salary between €100,000 and €125,000 (including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on role a bonus or collective profit sharing).
