Senior Product Manager - Financial Engineering

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. The Financial Engineering team supports Coinbase's financial platform that powers trading flows and products, handling large transaction volumes and enabling finance functions to operate with precision and foresight. This role is entrepreneurial and fast-paced: you will lead product work for financial records, accounting pipelines, and other finance capabilities used across the company.

Coinbase is remote-first but not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year (team and company offsites are held multiple times annually). The role may include interactions with senior finance and engineering stakeholders (CFO, Accounting, Product & Engineering).

Responsibilities

• Define the vision and strategy for platforms that power Coinbase's financial functions.
• Collaborate with finance function users to deliver solutions for Accounting, Tax, Financial Reporting, Treasury, and FP&A capabilities.
• Build robust, scalable solutions that maintain a high-quality standard for financial data.
• Prioritize the roadmap based on customer value and leverage metrics to guide product development.
• Conduct competitive and data analyses to guide decision-making and become an expert in financial and crypto products.
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to post-launch.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience.
• Computer Science degree or Software Engineering experience.
• Knowledge in financial products, including financial record keeping and accounting pipelines.
• Experience building robust, scalable solutions for fund movements, customer balances, and/or portfolio performance.
• Demonstrated success leading business-critical systems in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to motivate and align senior stakeholders (CFO, Accounting, Product & Engineering) towards a common vision.

Nice to haves

• Knowledge of accounting terminology and financial applications (ERP systems, accounting platforms, budgeting tools, etc.).
• Demonstrated onchain/crypto experience (answers to crypto-related questions may be used to evaluate onchain experience).

Pay Range

• $207,485 — $244,100 USD (target annual salary; final offer depends on work location).
