As a Product Manager on Coinbase Institutional, you will develop and further our institutional product objectives, set standards for institutional trading and financing, and build highly reliable, scalable, and compliant products used by large customers.

Responsibilities

• Own product development from conception to launch and strategically expand core product offerings.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales, trading, prime, and institutional operations to develop and steer the product roadmap.
• Define and analyze metrics to guide product development and measure success.
• Align teams on a shared vision and steer execution toward that vision.
• Clearly communicate plans and progress internally to partners, stakeholders, and executive leadership, and communicate product benefits and functionality externally to clients.
• Work autonomously alongside a strong team to deliver material impact across institutional products powering millions of crypto transactions per day.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.
• Deep analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills; experience defining and analyzing metrics to inform product decisions.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to guide product strategy and create alignment with senior engineers, designers, and cross-functional partners.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Focus on building to “institutional grade” with attention to reliability, scale, and risk mitigation (including reputational, market, credit, legal, compliance, tax, operational, and financial risks).
• Proven ability to establish close working relationships with Sales, Trading, Prime, and Institutional Operations partners and execute toward commercial goals.
• Ability to bridge cryptocurrency and financial market primitives to innovate on client or business solutions.
• Demonstrated passion for cryptocurrency, financial markets, and Coinbase’s mission.

Nice to Haves

• Experience building for institutional customers (corporates, asset managers, hedge funds, market makers, VCs) and appreciation of sub-user types (e.g., trader, operations, financial controller).
• Familiarity across financial services products including trading, financing, payments, custody, or other capital markets products.
• Deep expertise in financial services products (trading, custody, financing) and/or relevant experience in core financial primitives (market microstructure, clearing, payments, exchanges).

Location & Work Expectations

• Many roles at Coinbase are remote-first but not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year; team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually and attendance is expected and supported.

Compensation & Pay Transparency

• Pay Range: $207,485 — $244,100 USD (target annual salary). Full-time offers may include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).
