The Incentives team builds the central system that will power rewards, promotions, and user bonuses across Coinbase. Your mission is to build the "incentives-as-a-service" engine: own incentive primitives and the intelligent systems that deliver the right offer, to the right user, at the right time.

Objectives

• Step 1: Grow MATU — grow the addressable audience using high-ROI incentives (e.g., Account Inflow Bonus) within strict profitability and risk guardrails.
• Step 2: Drive Meaningful Engagement — run targeted, time-sensitive campaigns to help users take key actions, build investing habits, and discover core product value.
• Step 3: Maximize Lifetime Value — retain best users and increase loyalty by building scalable incentive programs that reward product expansion, depth of usage, and AUM growth.

Responsibilities

• Define and build the "Incentive Primitives" from 0-to-1: lead the 0-to-1 design and build of reusable building blocks for the entire engine (e.g., advanced targeting/eligibility logic, a library of payout models, standardized campaign management tools).
• Build the Incentives Engine vision: define and own the 0-to-1 strategy for the incentives-as-a-service engine to enable teams to launch high-ROI campaigns in days, not months.
• Create the intelligence layer: partner with Data Science to build analytics, data models, and A/B testing frameworks required to rigorously measure ROI from day one.
• Partner with Risk & Compliance: lead deep integration with core risk and compliance systems to proactively prevent fraud and abuse and ensure the engine is secure and scalable.
• Lead cross-functional execution: align and lead large cross-functional teams (engineering, design, data science, risk, marketing, finance) to build and scale company-wide infrastructure.
• Understand the product’s strategic and competitive position and deliver results aligned with broader organizational strategies and goals.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience, preferably on a high-performing Growth team at a consumer tech company.
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial 0-to-1 mindset; willing to run manual processes first before building automation.
• Deep 1-to-N systems thinking; ability to view one-off solutions as prototypes for scalable, reusable engines and primitives.
• Direct experience in Growth, Promotions, or Incentives (rewards, user bonuses, loyalty programs, or complex pricing).
• Deeply analytical with proven ability to partner with Data Science to build measurement and A/B testing frameworks from the ground up.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication, relationship management, and organizational skills; proven ability to lead complex, multi-quarter, cross-functional projects.

Nice to Haves

• Experience or passion in crypto.
• Strong interest in influencing business outcomes: revenue generation, business models, and LTV optimization.

Compensation & Pay Transparency

• Pay Range: $217,900—$217,900 CAD (target annual salary). Full-time offers also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision).

Work Model

• Coinbase is remote-first but not remote-only; in-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company offsites. Attendance is expected and supported.
